Higher Ground Lawn Care & Landscape Lighting

Your lawn is a living ecosystem, and at Higher Ground, we treat it with the care and science it deserves. Our full-service organic lawn care programs in Dallas are designed for homeowners who want a lush, green yard without compromising the health of their family, pets, or the local environment. We go beyond surface-level treatments by focusing on the foundation of all great lawns: the soil.

Our comprehensive program includes seasonal aeration to relieve compaction, targeted organic fertilization to feed the soil's microbiome, and proactive weed and pest management using safe, effective solutions. We also provide top dressing with rich compost and specialized care for your trees and shrubs. This holistic approach builds a resilient turf that can better withstand Texas heat, drought, and common diseases like brown patch.

The process begins with a detailed property analysis. We assess your soil composition, grass type, sun exposure, and any existing issues. From there, we create a custom calendar of visits tailored to your lawn's specific needs throughout the year. Our technicians are trained in organic methodologies and use premium products like humates and kelp to stimulate natural growth.

Choosing Higher Ground means partnering with true professionals who prioritize long-term health over quick fixes. We combine time-tested organic practices with modern agri-tech, including drone applications for large properties, to ensure even, efficient coverage. Let us handle the complex science so you can simply enjoy a beautiful, worry-free lawn.

Compact soil is one of the biggest hidden threats to a healthy lawn in Dallas. Over time, foot traffic and weather can compress soil, preventing essential air, water, and nutrients from reaching the root zone. Our professional core aeration service is the solution. Using specialized equipment, we remove small plugs of soil across your lawn, creating channels for revitalization.

This process immediately relieves soil compaction, improves water infiltration, reduces runoff, and promotes deeper, stronger root growth. Aeration is especially crucial before overseeding or applying our organic fertilizers, as it ensures those vital amendments can penetrate effectively. The result is a thicker, greener, and more drought-resistant turf.

Following aeration, our organic lawn fertilization service feeds your lawn the right way. We avoid harsh synthetic chemicals that can harm soil life and lead to dependency. Instead, we use a blend of time-tested organic granular and liquid foliar fertilizers. These natural products feed the beneficial microbes in your soil, which in turn nourish your grass roots. This method builds soil health sustainably, leading to gradual, lasting improvement in color, density, and overall vitality.

Our combined aeration and fertilization service is a cornerstone of our soil-first philosophy. We schedule these treatments at optimal times in the growing season to maximize their impact. For larger or hard-to-access properties, we even offer precision agri-drone applications to ensure even, efficient coverage. Trust Higher Ground to strengthen your lawn from the ground up, naturally and effectively.

A beautiful lawn can be undermined by invasive weeds, damaging pests, and silent fungal diseases. In the Dallas climate, threats like stubborn grassy weeds, fire ants, grubs, and brown patch are common. At Higher Ground, we provide comprehensive, science-backed solutions to protect your lawn's health and appearance, using methods that are effective yet safe for your family and the environment.

Our weed control strategy is proactive and targeted. We identify the specific weed species in your lawn and apply selective, effective treatments that eliminate the invaders without harming your desirable grass. We focus on preventing weed seeds from germinating and managing existing problems before they spread.

For pest control, we address the full spectrum of lawn-damaging insects. From subsurface grubs that eat grass roots to above-ground nuisances like fire ants, fleas, and ticks, our treatments create a protective barrier. We prioritize products that target pests specifically, minimizing impact on beneficial insects and the broader ecosystem.

Lawn diseases, often fueled by humidity, require expert diagnosis and timing. We are trained to identify signs of common Texas fungal diseases like dollar spot and brown patch early. Our treatment plans include cultural recommendations (like proper watering) and targeted fungicide applications when necessary to stop the spread and help your grass recover. With Higher Ground on the job, you can enjoy a healthy, comfortable outdoor space free from unsightly and damaging problems.
