“Though I found them through Yelp, Yelp is a horrible company in how they treat businesses, and I want to post this here too for posterity: After putting off AC Installation for years due to HOA approval bureaucracy among other things, I finally put out a Yelp "project" to get some quotes and finally get it done this year after enduring a week of the heat wave. Hector instantly reached out and scheduled to come take a look the next morning. He very quickly got the general idea of the project and gave me a quote that night. It was such a great quote (I'd had other companies give quotes this and in previous years) - AND they could come do the installation the same week even though I'm sure there were a ton of people dying to get this kind of work done - so I instantly accepted and canceled the other companies that I had scheduled to come in the next day (earliest for them). Installation day comes and Hector and Oscar arrive at 8:30am to get started, and blast out work all day in the heat *and* wildfire smoke. Turns out my attic had an unexpected giant plank blocking off the original area to go through, so they quickly solved the issue and routed around it. Installation finished by the end of the work day, even with Hector doing some extra electrical work that I asked if he'd be willing to do (completely separate from the AC installation, and that I'm also thrilled to have done!), and I had full AC blasting just in time for the evening, controlled by the Nest Theromstat I bought off Amazon that he also installed for me. In the end, Hector and Oscar were fantastic, super laid back, extremely hardworking, respectful of covid (more-so than I was being), very courteous of the interior while doing installation (giant rugs laid out to catch all debris), and also transparent with the installation process throughout the day. I would give 6 stars if I could, and will definitely be contacting them first for any similar work needing to be done in the future. “With the last few summers breaking heat records, we knew that we needed to do more than our current Sunsetter Awnings and blackout curtains to keep our West San Jose home cooler in the summer heat. Hector was prompt to give me a quote for a new air conditioning system. Hector was very patient in answering our many questions and we never felt pressured or sold. His quote wasn't the least expensive nor was it the highest price, but we felt confident he would provide the best value. On our scheduled A/C installation day, Hector & his team arrived on time. We walked through the entire project discussing how and when various components would be installed. We discussed our concerns with Hector and he patiently listened and took them in to consideration during the work day. He and his team worked in a low key and unobtrusive way and also taking care to cover flooring areas where they were working. As promised the installation took less than a day. At the end of the project, they thoroughly explained & tested the system. My wife loves the new digital thermostat and it's easy to read display. Although, the hot days are a few months away, we feel the peace of mind that we are prepared for the hot months ahead. Our experience with Hector & Cobalt Heating and Cooling was excellent. “We used Cobalt Heating and Cooling last summer when our AC stopped working and they found the problem, fixed it quickly, and got our house cool again. Now, a year later, I'm happy to say Cobalt is still the best!! We're getting ready to list our home and noticed the AC wasn't working as well as it had been. We called Cobalt to clean our vents and service the furnaces & AC units because it's HOT! Angel and Jesse came out and were so awesome. Seriously - these guys performed the best service. I was impressed by how careful they were going in and out of each room to clean the vents, the meticulous care they took to add the insulating tape, along with cleaning the vents and replacing the filters. We have a crazy odd filter, but they were able to find the replacement and came back to change it! The service performed was incredible, and I cannot express how reassuring it is to have someone come into your home and treat it as well as you would. Angel and Jesse are really helpful, personable, and friendly guys too. Cobalt is incredible - you won't be sorry.”

“I can't say enough good things about Hector and his team. They installed a heat pump in our house 3 weeks ago. Since we were out of town for awhile, all of the coordination / planning was done remotely. Then the system was installed once we returned. The entire process could not have gone more smoothly. Hector is very nice and so easy to work with - well informed, responsive, hard working plus a great sense of humor. And I want to emphasize that he always shows up! .... if he says he'll be there, he's there. The system is great; manuals need work.! A week after the installation, I was having trouble reconciling the manual with actual implementation. I texted Hector late in the day and he came over the following day to help. Nothing wrong with the unit, btw, just needed some clarification on operations described in the manual. We have a Carrier mini-split system with 2 outdoor units and a thermostatically controlled unit in each room. Love it.! ... so energy efficient as the temperature in each space can be controlled separately. Plus the units respond very quickly to temperature demands. We abandoned the ducts in this house in favor of energy efficiency and hopefully a cleaner house - the ducts were old (1974) and likely quite dirty. Look at the photos - they really show Hector's work ethic = neat, clean, safe and efficient.!”
