“The price was right, but the quality and professionalism was sub-standard. The focus on my job was clearly on how quickly it could be completed, so they could move on to the next job. My driveway edges were not straight (as promised), the entrance was not widened (as I had requested), there are lots of imperfections and dips in the surface, and the thickness of the asphalt applied during this resurfacing job was very thin in spots. Had I not been on-site at the time, there would have been even more issues, as I watched them literally press tree branches into the freshly-applied asphalt on my driveway. I had to point out numerous bad spots for them to fix by hand, now my driveway looks like it has band-aids on it. Additionally, Michael's killed a lot of my grass by negligently over-spraying their grass killer, then they left a huge pile of dirt and chunks of old asphalt on the property across the street from me, which justifiably highly upset my neighbor. I contacted Michael's twice about coming back to clean up the mess they left, but they completely ignored me. I ended up shoveling and moving four large wheelbarrow loads of dirt and asphalt off of my neighbor's property myself. Lesson learned.......you get what you pay for! The lowest bid is not always best choice.
