We were assigned this company as our remodel for a house flood claim we had in February of last year. They seemed great at first with the project manager Joe walking us thru the entire project along with the site supervisor John who is suppose to be onsite while work is being completed according to their standards (this never happened).
We had our drywall repaired 1st during our interaction with the company. Be aware they subcontract out all their vendors which is standard now for a lot businesses.
Carlos and his drywall guys showed up day 1 to completely redo the drywall in our laundry room from floor to ceiling. Well they completed the entire drywall job in 7 hours which if there is anything to know about drywall is it takes multiple days to redo drywall for an entire room not 7 hours.
The next morning I found only 1 worker not 3 from the day before painting that same drywall so I called the onsite supervisor surprisingly not onsite.
That date the supervisor, project manager and insurance adjuster all showed up to do a walk through for this incident and decided to cancel the contract since they clearly cut corners. There were noticeable gaps in the ceiling between the drywall and the supporting wall the contractor had applied thick caulking to the ceiling to try to conceal it, it literally fell thru the ceiling onto the floor. Additionally instead of installing another stud to the wall for support of the new drywall they used a baseboard as the backing as seen in the posted pictures. Super embarrassing situation for the drywall subcontractors and the palace restoration.
We went with another remodel company that took 4 whole days to complete the drywall properly and to code regulation as they have shown us this subcontractor did not complete the drywall according to code my insurance carrier made notes of this inspection for future customers. Additionally, I received a sketchy voicemail from the project manager Joe demanding an explanation on why I involved my insurance carrier in this inspection matter that led to the contract cancellation….
