“I would give Luis R 5 stars - he did a great job. But, Mills Air will not get my business again. My A/C system is 10 years old. It’s been running like a champ. I signed up for their inspection and maintenance plan because I want to keep it good for as long as possible. Josh came out and serviced my unit for the rnaintenance and told me all the pressures and Freon were in good order and cleaned my unit and recommended a UV light to prevent further bacterial buildup on my air handler. He also cleaned this. Less than a week later my air was blowing hot. I called Mills Air back and they said my coil leaked all the Freon out and I needed to replace the coil. They wouldn’t take any responsibility for it even though everything checked out perfect less than a week prior. I wrote the company a letter about it and got NO REPLY. Bad business!!!!!!!! “I have been using Mill's Air Conditioning for my periodical maintenance on my AC unit for a couple of years, and have been pretty satisfied up until now. They serviced my AC last on December 3, 2024. A couple of months later I noticed mold developing at the joints in my vinyl plank flooring. After further investigation I found that water residue was coming up through the joints when pressing down in some areas. I found the cause of the water under my flooring to be coming from the condensation pump, which is located under the air handler in a closet in the center of my home. I found the condesation drain pipe resting on top of the pump and not positioned properly inside the drain port on the pump. I immediately began to investigate the matter only to discover that the water had seeped underneath my flooring from one end of the house to the other. If it wasn't for my flooring being waterproof, I would have noticed the water leak sooner, since it would have caused my flooring to buckle. I immediately notified Mill's Air, although it was a Saturday, so I just left a message. Their service manager, Ralph, contacted me promptly on Monday to discuss the matter. In this discussion, I was asked what I would want them to do for me. I told him that I would want them to do for me what they would want done for themselves. Ralph told me that if it was his home, he would have noticed it sooner. I was told a few days later that the tech couldn't be certain if he replaced the drainpipe properly or not. Several days later I spoke with the general manager, Michael Antica, who seemed to clearly be defensive, and decided to take the position that regardless of whether the tech failed to replace the drainpipe properly or not, it is not their problem because I would have noticed the problem sooner if I had replaced my AC filter at the "recommended" 30 day interval instead of waiting to change it at 2 months. The fact is that the damage was done, and the flooring and baseboards needed to be removed, after 30 days of a steady drip, and they are using a technicality to shirk their responsibility to me. At first I tried to salvage my flooring to the best of my ability, in an effort minimize my costs/losses, but unfortunately, the removal process caused damage to them that made them unusable. Plus there is a mold/mildew issue that would require most, if not all of the flooring to be removed in order to address it properly. The last word from Michael Antica after discussing it with the owner is that I can basically go pack sand. He told me that they don't feel like it's their responsibility because I didn't catch it sooner. He told me that they are okay with me filing a claim with my insurance and allowing them to attempt to recover the costs through subrogation. I understand how businesses feel like they need to protect themselves from people who would try to take advantage of them, but that is absolutely not the case here. I had purchased and installed this flooring myself 2 years ago, and was very happy with it, and really not looking forward ripping it out and replacing it with the exact same material. However, I am more angry that these people lack the principles and morals to take care of a problem caused by their technician, and are okay with me having to shoulder the burden of going through my insurance company, and to have to pay the deductable out of my own pocket. Their initial offer to me was to refund my money for the service contract, and to offer to install a UV light in my air handler for free, which as generous as that may seem is a fraction of the costs that I will have to incur to have my flooring replaced, let alone the major inconvenience this is causing me and my family. As far as I can tell, for the most part I would say that Mills Air does a decent job when it comes to servicing air conditioners. Everyone makes mistakes, and I don't hold any ill will toward the technician in the event of this incident. My problem is how they behave after the mistake. FAIL!!!!! “Mills Air LLC - Avoid at all costs! We bought our pre-construction home 3 years ago and have been dealing with endless issues ever since. Both our HVAC units (Carrier and Lennox) were improperly installed and have been a nightmare. Their maintenance is negligent - they claim work was done but we had no access to filtration, and they left wires exposed outdoors. The electrical work is shoddy and dangerous. We've had at least 15 service calls, and still, the units fail. Most recently, tech Carlos came out, diagnosed a short circuit that burned our thermostat, and it turns out the unit wiring was exposed the whole time. This is unacceptable. Do not trust Mills Air LLC with your home repairs. We're extremely disappointed and frustrated. Leaureate Park Lake Nona Orlando Fl 32827 🚫😡 Edited for reply purposes Mills Air LLC - Unprofessional and Unwilling to Take Responsibility I'm writing this review as a warning to others. Mills Air LLC has failed to provide adequate service and has demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. We've had repeated issues with our HVAC units, and despite multiple service calls, the problems persist. Recently, Tech Carlos was dispatched to our residence, and it was clear he was aware of the payment situation. I explicitly stated in English, Spanish, and even Sign Language that I would not pay for service related to prior service neglect and poor quality work. I requested a supervisor to review his work and I would be more than happy to submit a payment that day, but instead of addressing the issue, the supervisor called and hung up on me. Guess he didn’t like that I matched his condescending tone and responses ReService Date 11/21 11/25 Payment was made invoice number-107462700 All I asked is for a supervisor to inspect the repairs Carlos made plus his ASSESSMENT OF THE INSTALLATION OF THE UNIT ELECTRICAL AND AIR FILTRATION. BTW LEARN TO COACH YOUR STAFF UP, it gets old hearing the Other tech blaming the prior tech’s quality and knowledge of the field. 🎻 I've spoken to Von, a former employee, who has shared the company's questionable practices. It's clear Mills Air LLC prioritizes taking advantage of customers over providing quality service. I'm disappointed and frustrated but not surprised with the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by Mills Air LLC. Do not trust them with your home repairs. #MillsVictim”

“My two experiences with Mills Air thus far have been excellent. The first was a diagnostic visit by Dan, who did a thorough job of identifying and explaining the issues with my AC system and laying out a solution. He answered all my questions and performed the work in a friendly and professional manner, and even offered discounts where possible to help bring down the cost of parts and service. His strong technical expertise and excellent "bedside manners" made me confident to enroll in the service plan that Mills Air offers for twice-yearly maintenance visits and discounted prices on their other services. I just had my first maintenance visit today with Kamal, which confirmed for me that my experience with Dan was not just a fluke, because Kamal likewise did an excellent job of identifying and explaining issues with my AC system, patiently and helpfully answered my questions, and laid out the pricing of potential solutions transparently and with no high-pressure sales tactics. We even had a pleasant personal conversation about our respective countries of origin. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Mills Air for their technical expertise and excellent customer service.”
