“DO NOT use this company for your mitigation needs. I called them to deal with a minor intrusion of ground water through our foundation. The bid included a large scope of work which included fan and fluid collection along with removing a wet carpet pad, base boards and dry wall for further drying. Their employee’s estimate was that all of this work would “not cost over $2000.” The initial equipment was placed and carpet pad removed. They returned three days later and determined that no further work needed to be done. I assumed that since half the work was not done that the bill would be much less than the estimate. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong. The bill was over $2000! Their itemized bill was stuffed with egregious charges for labor and supplies as well as ridiculous markups. They then informed me that they bill for the time it takes them to drive back and forth to their warehouse and included a “labor minimum” on top of that! In addition, the charge for the removal of a small carpet pad was over $300! $200 was for a “disposal fee” which surprised me since the dump charges the rest of us $20. After exhaustingly challenging them on these charges, they eventually capitulated to only minor decreases in the bill. This is an unethical company who takes advantage of those in need and pads their bill. They underbid the project to get you to choose them and then load their bill with bogus charges in the end. I would strongly recommend that you choose a more reputable company for your mitigation needs.
