“We had our HVAC system completely replaced a few months back. Technicians were professional and work was completed in a few short days. Unfortunately, the new system does not cool two of our bedrooms. This is a new issue we did not have with our old unit. After having a technician return to fix the issue on 3 separate occasions, Aramendia cannot seem to correct the problem. We are now planning on having a second company attempt to correct their work.”

“We were also duped and thought we bought the system but it turned out to be a lease. The original AC had been great for 20 years. It died when we were out of state and our kids lived at the house. We received a call from our kids that the AC gave up sometimes around July in TX. We knew it would be too hot without AC in Texas so we contacted Service Experts after a friend's recommendation. He had no issues with them which is why we called them. We never met the sales guy but our adult kids met the sales guy who was super nice and friendly. He said, they could swap out the system and install everything etc. We spoke to the guy on the phone while we were driving due to PCS. He gave us the quote and time line, all the necessary details. Given how our friend like them and it was July, plus they could swap it out within a week or so. We decided to go sign the contract over the phone figuring we were buying the system. We had no idea there is HVAC leasing. at the time. The crew came and did what they said they would do and everything seemed great at the time. Our son called them for filter replacement in addition to the summer and winter checks. What broke the camel back was the last service call to Service Expert or Aramendia Plumbing this week. Son called them for service, due to mold around the ducting. They replied with an email stating the date/time of the service. They gave a time of 12-4. Son was home and finally called them around 4:15 They picked up the call and said they are looking into it and put him on hold. Call was disconnected 10 minutes later without a call back. And no tech showed up at the house. I called around 5:22pm trying to find out what happened. Lady said, they were so busy and was unable to get a technician to the house and said they called my son and me. Neither one of us had a miss call, text, or email. Zero. But she was able to schedule another technician 2 days later. No more then 5 minutes after the call, my son received an automated message the technician couldn't make it and to please call back to reschedule. Tech showed up at his schedule time and fixed the leaking ducting. If the ducting were installed correctly mold wouldn't have been an issue. They recommended we get attic vent installed in addition to UV light which would cost us $4157.64. I never had leaking issues with my previous AC system. Aramendia should have installed it correctly and none of this would have happened. If they told us it was a lease, we'd never signed the contract. They removed the old leaking central-air unit and installed the new energy efficient unit and thermostat (where one should have been all along) the day after signing the contract. Now, my entire house stays at the range I've set quietly and less frequently. When I went to college, gas cost $0.19 per gallon and cigarettes were $0.25 per pack. When I bought my house (~ 20yrs ago), central-air cost a little under $10,000. Now, a 3 ton unit costs 60% to 100% more. Talk about sticker shock!
