Innovative Air

Radiant heating is one of the most comfortable and energy-efficient ways to warm your home. Unlike forced air systems that blow dust and allergens, radiant heat warms from the floor up, providing even, silent warmth. At Innovative Air, we specialize in designing and installing radiant floor heating for new construction and retrofit projects in Fargo. Our systems work under tile, wood, or concrete, and are ideal for basements, bathrooms, and whole-home comfort. We begin with a thorough assessment...

Ductless mini-split systems are perfect for homes without existing ductwork, room additions, garages, or for targeting specific zones for heating and cooling. At Innovative Air, we install high-efficiency ductless systems from leading brands, ensuring quiet operation and significant energy savings. Each indoor unit operates independently, so you can set different temperatures in different rooms — reducing wasted energy. Our process starts with a free in-home evaluation to determine the right num...

Forced air furnaces remain the most common heating system in Fargo, and for good reason — they heat quickly, work with central air conditioning, and allow for easy filtration. At Innovative Air, we install and repair all types of forced air furnaces, including gas, electric, and oil models. Whether your furnace is making strange noises, blowing cold air, or increasing your utility bills, our technicians can diagnose and fix the problem promptly. For replacements, we help you choose the right siz...

When a ductless heat pump stops warming a room, the cause is often a frozen coil, a low refrigerant charge, a clogged filter, or a fault in the outdoor condenser. Our technicians check each indoor head and the outdoor unit, test the controls, and tell you what they find before any work begins. Many repairs can be completed in a single visit. We can also show you simple habits, like cleaning the filters on a regular schedule, that help prevent the same problem from returning. If a unit is near th...

Radiant floor heating warms a room from the floor up, which means no blowing air, no dust stirred around, and a steady warmth that is easy to feel underfoot. We install hydronic systems that circulate warm water through tubing beneath tile, wood, or concrete, as well as electric mats for smaller spaces like bathrooms. Installation begins with a look at your floor build-up and heat loss, followed by subfloor preparation, boiler or pump setup, and thermostat wiring. We handle new builds and retrof...

A forced air system can be a major expense, so the sizing matters as much as the equipment itself. An oversized furnace or air conditioner cycles on and off and wastes energy, while an undersized one runs nonstop. We perform a load calculation for your home so the replacement unit fits the actual demand. Our crew then installs the new system, seals and checks the ductwork, sets up the thermostat, and tests safety and airflow before we leave. We will walk you through the efficiency ratings so you...

Planning HVAC for a new build works best when the mechanical design is part of the process from the start. We work with builders and homeowners on system selection, equipment placement, duct layout, and zoning for radiant, ductless, or forced air systems. Getting these decisions right early keeps the finished home comfortable and avoids costly changes later. Our team coordinates with the rest of the construction schedule and handles the full installation, including testing and startup. If you ar...

Adding or upgrading heating and cooling in an existing home brings its own challenges, such as limited attic or crawl space access, older ductwork, and walls that were never designed for new lines. Our retrofit work starts with an assessment of what is already in place and what the goals are, whether that is better comfort in one room or a whole-house upgrade. We aim to minimize disruption while getting the system to perform well. Ductless units and radiant systems are often good options for old...

A furnace that is making strange noises, blowing cold air, or driving up your heating bills needs attention before it fails in the middle of a cold snap. Our technicians inspect the burners, igniter, blower, and controls, then explain what is wrong and what it will take to fix it. We work on gas, electric, and oil furnaces. Because a broken furnace in winter is urgent, we offer emergency repair service. Ask us about a maintenance plan too, which can catch small problems early and help the unit l...

A new air conditioner should be sized to your home and matched to the rest of your system, and that is where we start. We measure the load, look at your existing ductwork or plan for ductless units, and recommend equipment that will cool evenly without short cycling. Installation includes setting the outdoor condenser, connecting refrigerant lines, sealing and testing the system, and checking airflow and thermostat operation. We will explain your efficiency options and what to expect on the day...
