MCR is a trustworthy, reliable company. I would recommend them to anyone that needs work done. Our home is only 4 years old. Last year, we had a major leak in the living room. The original roofer ghosted us so we contacted MCR after reading stellar reviews. Adam came out and found two trouble spots and quoted us to have everything repaired. As it turns out, they only needed to repair one spot and it saved us $800. Most companies would be happy to take your money and wouldn't show such honesty. Last week, we noticed another leak in the same spot. Naturally I assumed it was due to the work that we didn't get done less than a year ago. Mike came out and confirmed that everything was properly sealed and neither of the initial trouble spots were causing the leak. As it turned out, a sideways nail installed by the original roofer popped out leaving the hole exposed and the leak to start. Mike repaired the spot for free, leaving us free of any stress or anxiety. I have dealt with a number of contractors and what not over the years. I have never met a company with the empathy, honesty, and integrity that MCR has. I recommend them 8 days a week. If you need a quality, honest roofer, this is your company.

When we first spoke with a North Florida Roofing representative; Pat - we were very nervous regarding this large purchase/investment to our home. But he quickly put our concerns at ease. he KNEW what he was talking about - then from there everything anyone associated with NFR said would happened did and on time. As important to me as the quality of the roof and the work - which was and is excellent - is the customer service. Phone calls were not only returned but initiated. We were advised along each step of the way so there was never another opportunity to be anxious. That to me is what sets NFR apart from other roofers. They completed a great construction job - and provided EXCELLENT customer service. I would recommend them to not just my friends but family and strangers - and already have!

One star for effort. I called and told Kelly specifically that we were filing our first ever home owners’ insurance claim. We were newlywed, bought our first home two weeks prior to Hurricane Irma, and filing a claim before ever even being able to live in our new home. When I spoke with her our conversation consisted of me explicitly stating that we were first time home owners making our first claim and that we were calling around to get estimates and wanted to know how much North Florida Roofing charged. She stated that "if anyone is asking for money from you for an estimate, go somewhere else because estimates are free." From there we scheduled a time to have one of their employees (Kevin) come out to give us an estimate. When Kevin arrived, he was very friendly- sort of in a rush because his girlfriend had to drive him because his vehicle was not operable at the time, and handed my husband and I a folder with information about the roofing techniques and tools they use, and had us sign- what I thought was some sort of waiver allowing Kevin to evaluate the roof and took all our information so they could send us the estimate- wrong. What we signed was, instead, a CONTRACT stating that we were contracting North Florida Roofing to do the whole job and that they would send US the estimate AFTER WORK IS COMPLETE. They would see how much the insurance paid out, THEN tell us how much the roof was going to be. Essentially, they manipulated and took advantage of us because we had never filed an insurance claim before or ever dealt with any sort of construction company/estimates. When I contact Kelly to let her know we would not need their services any longer we were going with a different company-one who was much more professional- that is when she informed me that we had been manipulated into a contract with them. When my husband called to speak to Kelly while I was at work, she explained that- "how else would they get work if they gave free estimates?" However, no work had been completed, aside from Kelly's strenuous task of harassing our insurance company for updates on how much they were going to payout, but they are currently trying to bill us $1,000.00 for Kelly's time. If you are looking for a roofing company- there are plenty of good roofing companies in North East Florida, 10/10 do NOT recommend North Florida Roofing.

It was time for a new roof and Model City Roofing was one of the companies we called to get a quote. Although not quite local to us, between their previous reviews and the company postings of being veteran friendly we figured we’d give them a shot. Frank Bunton was the representative they had come out. When Frank arrived we were ready for the spiel we had been hearing already, but Franks calm demeanor and humor put us at ease. It should be said that while inspecting the roof he noticed lint in the vent. We had already heard this, but unlike others, he cleaned it out. He explained the process and answered all of our questions. (and we had quite a few) Most of all he was honest and wasn’t going to sell us something we didn’t need. After he left we were relieved to see that the company he represented was one that he believed in. When the last company came through and we sat down to have our “ pick a company “ discussion it was pretty quick. I think we both had decided on Model City Roofing after Franks presentation. Everyone who we have dealt with from Model City have been kind and patient. We’re not very computer literate and newbies to roof replacement, but we had Frank, Katelynn and Carlton to assist with their guidance. Once the Ts were crossed and the Is dotted and the county gave them a permit, Model City Roofing was there. On a frozen morning the crew was on the roof and working before sun up. Carlton kept us up on the progress and eleven hours later they were done. Like night and day, our roof has never looked better. Kudos to Carlton and the crew.
