AT4 Fence & Custom Exteriors

Your home deserves a fence that enhances both privacy and curb appeal while standing strong against Austin's elements. Our residential fencing installation service begins with a thorough assessment of your property, how you use your outdoor space, and what matters most to your family's lifestyle.

We specialize in working with homeowners who want more than just a standard fence installation. Whether you have close neighbors requiring maximum privacy, shared property lines needing precise alignment, or unique landscape features that demand creative solutions, we plan every detail around your specific situation. Our team takes the time to understand local regulations and property boundaries before we ever suggest a material or design.

The process starts with a comprehensive consultation where we discuss your priorities: security for children and pets, creating private outdoor living areas, defining property lines clearly, or simply enhancing your home's exterior appearance. We then present material options tailored to Austin properties, explaining how different fences perform over time in our specific climate. From traditional cedar that ages beautifully to low-maintenance vinyl that retains its appearance for years, we help you make informed decisions without pressure.

Our installation crews work with precision and care, treating your property with respect throughout the project. We ensure proper post-setting depth, secure fastening, and clean finishing touches that distinguish quality work from rushed jobs. The result is a fence that not only looks great on day one but continues to perform for years to come—a true enhancement to your Austin home.

Even the best-installed fences in Austin eventually show signs of wear from weather, time, or accidental damage. Our fence repair service addresses these issues promptly and professionally, extending the life of your existing fence investment without the cost of full replacement.

We specialize in diagnosing and repairing common fence problems that Austin homeowners face: sagging gates that no longer latch properly, loose or rotting posts that compromise structural integrity, damaged panels from storms or impact, and worn hardware that affects security and function. Our approach begins with a thorough inspection to identify not just the visible damage but underlying issues that could lead to future problems.

For wood fences, we address rot at ground level, replace compromised pickets while matching existing styles, and reinforce weak sections before they fail completely. With vinyl and aluminum fencing, we source matching components and repair mechanisms to restore both appearance and function. Even for chain link fencing, we replace damaged fabric, repair bent framework, and ensure proper tension throughout.

What makes our repair service different is our commitment to fixing the root cause, not just the symptoms. We don't simply patch visible damage; we assess why the damage occurred and implement solutions that prevent recurrence. This might involve improving drainage around posts, reinforcing high-stress areas, or recommending maintenance practices specific to your fence material and Austin conditions.

Whether you need emergency repair after storm damage or scheduled maintenance to preserve your fence's appearance and function, our team provides honest assessments and quality workmanship. We help Austin homeowners protect their fence investments for the long term.

A gate serves as both the functional entry point and the focal point of your fence system, requiring precision engineering and aesthetic consideration. Our custom gate installation service creates secure, smooth-operating entrances that complement your property's style while providing reliable access control.

We design and build gates for various applications throughout Austin: driveway entrances that make a statement while keeping vehicles secure, pedestrian gates that provide convenient access to backyard spaces, pool safety gates that meet local regulations, and specialty gates for unique property layouts. Each gate begins with understanding how it will be used daily—whether that's accommodating large vehicles, providing wheelchair accessibility, or offering child-safe operation.

The installation process starts with assessing the specific demands of your location. We consider factors like ground slope that affects gate swing, wind exposure that requires additional bracing, frequency of use that determines hardware durability, and security needs that influence locking mechanisms. For driveway gates, we ensure proper clearance and smooth automation integration. For pedestrian gates, we focus on ergonomic operation and visual harmony with your fence design.

We work with various materials to match your existing fence or create distinctive entryways: sturdy cedar gates that age gracefully alongside wood fencing, wrought iron designs that offer security with visibility, vinyl gates that maintain consistent appearance with minimal upkeep, and custom metal fabrication for unique architectural statements. Each gate receives heavy-duty hinges, appropriate latches, and proper reinforcement to prevent sagging—common issues with improperly installed gates in Austin.

Beyond installation, we provide guidance on maintenance and operation to ensure your gate continues to function smoothly for years. Whether automated or manual, your gate becomes a reliable, attractive entry point that enhances both security and curb appeal for your Austin property.

Choosing the right fence material involves balancing aesthetics, maintenance, durability, and budget—decisions that feel overwhelming without expert guidance. Our material consultation service provides Austin homeowners with clear, honest information to make confident choices that align with their property needs and lifestyle.

We begin by understanding how you'll actually use your outdoor space: Do you need maximum privacy from nearby homes? Is low maintenance a priority for your busy schedule? Are you looking to enhance property value with curb appeal? Does your property have drainage or soil conditions that affect material performance? These practical considerations guide our recommendations more than any sales pitch.

For traditional wood options, we explain the differences between Western Red Cedar (chosen for exceptional durability and natural resistance to insects and decay) and Imported Red Cedar (selected when achieving the cedar appearance at a lower upfront cost matters). We discuss pressure-treated pine for utility applications where function outweighs appearance, and specialty woods for distinctive aesthetic statements.

For low-maintenance alternatives, we detail how vinyl fencing provides consistent privacy without painting or staining, how aluminum offers clean lines and visibility without rust concerns, and how chain link delivers straightforward enclosure with minimal upkeep. We also explore mixed-material approaches that combine different materials where they serve specific functions best on your property.

Our consultation includes showing actual samples on your property, discussing how different materials age in Austin's climate, providing realistic maintenance timelines and costs, and helping you visualize the finished result. We never push one material over another; instead, we present objective tradeoffs so you can select what truly fits your priorities. This transparent approach has helped countless Austin homeowners invest in fences they continue to appreciate years after installation.
