Dear Maneger
I am writing to formally complain about the furnace installation performed by A1 Cooling and Heating, a third-party contractor for Home Depot, at my home in Redwood City, California.The furnace was installed at December 5 ,2025.
From the very start it has not worked properly. Since the installation, the system has repeatedly failed to turn on, especially during colder days. This issue has continued for one week without a permanent solution.
During the first week after installation, someone from my household had to be home every single day to accommodate repeated visits and attempted repairs.
This caused significant disruption to our daily life .
Despite these repeated visits, the furnace has never functioned reliably. A 9 thousand job from A-1 Cooling and Heating, INC.
Recently, we experienced a spell of warmer weather, which temporarily masked the issue. However, on December 26, 2025, temperatures dropped again, and once more the heater failed to turn on, confirming that the problem was never fixed.
This situation is unacceptable. We paid for a new furnace expecting safe, reliable heating during winter. Instead, we have endured weeks of inconvenience, wasted time, and an unreliable system that still does not work.
I am requesting: 1. An immediate and permanent repair, or
2. A full replacement of the furnace, or
3. A refund, if the issue cannot be resolved promptly .
Additionally, I expect this matter to be escalated within both A1 Cooling and Heating and Home Depot, as this experience falls far below acceptable service standards.Please contact me as soon as possible to confirm how this issue will be resolved.

This has been one of the most frustrating and unacceptable service experiences my family has ever endured.
A1 Heating and Cooling has shown consistently poor communication, repeated missed or late appointments, and a clear lack of professionalism throughout this entire process. We were left without a functioning heater for nearly two months during cold weather, repeatedly being told that parts were delayed, only to later be informed that the parts had arrived incomplete.
When technicians finally returned and installed the parts, the heater still did not function. Another part was then ordered, resulting in yet another multi-week delay, and even after that installation, the system failed again. As of now, the heater has completely stopped working, and we are once again facing cold weather with no heat.
What makes this situation especially concerning is the total lack of communication, accountability, and urgency. We were repeatedly left waiting, forced to chase updates, and subjected to the same unresolved issue after multiple failed service attempts.
At this point, this is no longer a repair issue it is a documented failure to resolve a known problem. We have lost all confidence in this company’s ability to provide competent or reliable service.
We are formally documenting this matter and will be filing a complaint with the CSLB. If the owner or upper management is reading this, you should seriously reconsider the staff and practices currently running this operation, as their actions are directly damaging your business and putting customers in unacceptable living conditions. A manager or owner needs to contact us immediately before further action is taken.
