A Cautionary Tale: Always Get Everything in Writing
I recently hired Always On HVAC to install HVAC units at my property. The initial walkthrough gave me a clear idea of how the installation should be handled. The representative made recommendations, and we agreed on a plan. However, when the installers arrived, they deviated from what we had discussed, particularly in the most critical areas. Despite specifically stating that I could not have a unit in the bedroom directly over my head, they installed it that way. Additionally, I requested that the condensers be placed in specific locations, but they were placed where it was more convenient for the installers—not as quoted.
Before installation, I contacted my field rep (David) with concerns about the layout and airflow efficiency, suggesting an additional unit might be needed. He assured me that the existing plan would suffice and that if issues arose, they would return to make adjustments at no extra cost other than paying for the indoor unit. Unfortunately, the results didn’t meet my expectations.
In addition, the installers were sloppy with their cuts, causing some damage. While they promised to repair everything, the work was poorly done in some areas, and other damages were simply left untouched. To add to the frustration, communication with the onsite team was extremely difficult as they couldn’t effectively communicate in English, which would typically not be a problem. However, in this case, I could not explain my concerns about the placement of the units and the needed repairs because everything was "yeah, yeah, yeah"
As a business owner myself, it takes a lot for me to write a negative review, and I understand how much is at stake for any business. However, I feel it’s important to share my experience as a lesson to others: no matter what they tell you, get everything in writing, and don’t let anyone rush you into a job. This cautionary advice could save you from a similar experience.
While the job is done and it’s a lesson learned, I hope this helps others make more informed decisions when working with this company. Your experience is valuable, and sharing it can help others avoid similar situations.

We have a Daikin heat pump which was installed less than two months ago by Always On HVAC. For the past four cold winter days, the heat pump has been unable to heat our home beyond the upper 50 degrees Fahrenheit. For almost two days, we were unable to receive a satisfactory response from the Always On HVAC service department despite multiple phone calls to their ineffectual AI and human call screeners whose main purpose seems to be to insulate the service department from actual direct contact with customers in urgent need. Finally today, on the fourth day of failure of the heat pump to comfortably heat our home, a technician came to our home. To his credit, he was a pleasant person who appeared to be working hard on the problem; and before leaving he stated that the heat pump would now work appropriately. Unfortunately nothing has changed, and the house temperature is still in the mid-to-upper 50s. Subsequent calls to the Always On HVAC service department have again gone unanswered. We currently continue to live under intolerable conditions and have no idea when we will hear from the service department again and, most importantly, when we will once again have a warm home.

exceptional. He arrived at 10:30 AM and didn’t leave until after 2:00 PM, taking the time to thoroughly walk through our entire home. He checked and cleaned every unit, used a thermal gun to assess our windows, and carefully reviewed all of the additions and upgrades we’ve made to help retain heat.
What really stood out was how patient and knowledgeable he was. He walked us through the remote in detail so we could better understand how to properly use the system, and he helped us identify what we actually need to improve performance. He also assisted us in providing clear, informed feedback to the sister company so we could get additional resources, especially since our home was reading in the 20s–30s even with units set to 80. Since then, the house has become very warm and easy for us to enjoy spaces in our home we couldn't before.
Lad went above and beyond — professional, thorough, and genuinely invested in helping us get answers and solutions. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
We hope to hear back soon on resources to further help keep us from these cruel winters with a toddler.

Alex B from Always On HVAC was my salesperson. He was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and patient with me. He explained everything thoroughly including the rebate from ConEd. I was contemplating whether or not to get the system now or later. However, after meeting with Alex, I was confident I wanted to do the project now with his company. He did the home assessment, gave recommendations and prepared the estimate. He followed up with me and kept me informed of any changes.
On the day of installation for my mini split system (heat and AC) the crew arrived on time and worked efficiently and expeditiously to install all units in my multi family home.They cleaned up and removed all debris and packaging from outside and inside the house. They were very respectful of my time and my property. The equipment looks and works great!!👍🏾
