UPDATE: Today, 2 years after I paid for this job, two men from A1 Gutters showed up to finally finish it. They were here for several hours and showed me where they did and did not put aluminum in place. I'm a little skeptical since there was a mark on one of the trim boards before they started, and it is still visible. They claim it is all clad with aluminum, but, in their broken English, they could not explain to me how the mark did not get covered up if they put aluminum over it. Because they made the effort and seem to care, and swore that it is all clad with aluminum, I will upgrade their score. If warmer weather proves that they truly gave me what I paid for, I will upgrade it again.

I hired A1 Gutters to install aluminum facia over all of our front trim, covering the many woodpecker holes and hopefully preventing any new ones. They came and did something to cover the holes, so I assumed they did the job right, and I paid them. It turns out that they did NOT install aluminum, as clearly specified in their workorder. So, the woodpeckers came back and created new holes! I contacted A1, and they sent someone out pretty quickly, so I thought they were going to make good. Instead, two men showed up and simply filled the holes with some kind of putty. I am trying to get hold of a manager to see if they plan to do the work they said they would do, and that I paid for.
