I respectfully requested that a supervisor call me and you asked me for a review? Weird, but okay. I’ll do my best to not curse but I can’t promise my sarcasm won’t seep through. We will never use this company for our HVAC needs again. They’ve been nothing but frustrating to work with. At the end of 2022, we hired this company for the first time to move a mini split unit over on the wall it was installed on. It’s a boring story but it needed to move over like 3-4 feet. While this was happening, the technicians broke the door on the unit and never fixed it. When you turn off the unit, the door is supposed to close, but it doesn’t. Ever. We asked that a supervisor call us. That never happened. Cool. Going further, ever since this company worked on this mini split unit, it hasn’t worked right. Even one of their technicians has on multiple occasions said it isn’t working correctly. We were stupid enough to keep working with this company and that same technician kept saying it isn’t working properly. Hmmmm….interesting. Didn’t have a problem before you guys touched it. Anyway, moving on. We worked with them for a couple of more years because, well, like I said, clearly we’re stupid. And we didn’t want to go through the trouble of finding another HVAC company. We finally decided enough is enough and stopped using them for a couple of years. Flash forward to recently: Our main HVAC system in the house needs maintenance and the mini split unit has started to leak water inside the building. Well, that’s not good…We ask our neighbors who they’re using and one of them says “Marathon” and we laughed out loud. Literally. So, we figured, okay, it’s us. It has to be. The reviews are so high. Let’s give ‘em another chance. Their technician comes to the house. Funny enough, it’s the SAME technician who has serviced this unit multiple times before and what do they say? The same thing they always say—the mini split unit isn’t performing the way it should be and there’s a leak somewhere, which is causing the dripping. They will need to do a test to figure out where the leak is...something something pressurize the system something something technical etc etc etc…that test will be $975. lol. Now, listen…I’m happy to admit that these trained professionals have more knowledge than I do about this stuff. That’s why we go to professionals, right? There’s an inherent trust that should be there. I’ve worked in tech support. I know what it’s like when a customer doubts your training and knowledge. That’s crappy. That’s not what I’m going to do here. What I am going to ask is are you kidding me? Almost $1000 for a systematic TEST. Not to FIX it. To TEST it to find what needs to be fixed. On a unit that hasn’t worked right since YOUR COMPANY started working on it? Yeah, no thank you. We requested a supervisor call us. That was a week ago. Has that happened? Nope. But did they request a review? Why, yes they did. It’s probably about that time we learn our lesson, yeah? Price assessment Overpriced
