When your air conditioner stops working, you need a reliable expert who can diagnose the problem quickly and get your home cool again. At Hank's AC & Heating Service, we specialize in comprehensive AC repair and installation for all makes and models, serving Austin homeowners for over 40 years. Whether you're dealing with a complete system failure, a refrigerant leak, a faulty compressor, or just weak airflow, our licensed technicians have the tools and expertise to provide a lasting solution.

This service is essential for any homeowner or business owner whose AC unit is over 10 years old, experiencing frequent breakdowns, or not cooling effectively. The process begins with a thorough inspection of your entire system. We check refrigerant levels, electrical components, the condenser and evaporator coils, ductwork connections, and the thermostat. We then provide you with a clear, upfront estimate, explaining the issue and your repair options in plain language—no confusing jargon.

If your system is beyond repair or highly inefficient, we guide you through a complete AC installation. We help you select the right high-efficiency unit for your home's size and layout, ensuring optimal performance and lower energy bills. Our installation process is meticulous, from proper sizing and ductwork assessment to precise placement and final testing. We are the best choice because we combine decades of local experience with a commitment to honesty. We don't believe in band-aid fixes; we provide repairs that last and installations that deliver comfort and value for years to come.

A functioning heating system is non-negotiable for comfort and safety during Austin's cooler months. Hank's AC & Heating Service provides expert furnace repair, replacement, and comprehensive heating solutions to keep your family warm. Our services cover gas and electric furnaces, heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, and emergency heating repairs for when you need help most.

This service is critical for homeowners noticing strange noises from their furnace, inconsistent heating, skyrocketing energy bills, or a system that won't turn on at all. The process starts with a safety-first inspection. We check the heat exchanger for cracks (a critical safety hazard), test the ignition system, inspect the blower motor and belts, and ensure all vents are clear. For heat pumps, we evaluate both the indoor and outdoor units, checking the reversing valve and refrigerant charge.

If a repair isn't cost-effective, we offer high-efficiency furnace and heat pump replacements. We'll discuss the benefits of various AFUE ratings and help you choose a system that maximizes comfort and savings. For homes without ductwork, we expertly install ductless heating systems that provide zoned comfort. You should choose us because our heating specialists are trained on the latest technology, we offer 24/7 emergency service for peace of mind, and our reputation in Austin is built on reliable, safe, and efficient heating solutions delivered with the same honest approach we're known for.
