Grumpy's HVAC offers professional furnace installation and replacement services across San Jose, CA. We help you navigate the options — gas, electric, or high-efficiency models — so you get the perfect balance of warmth, reliability, and energy savings.

Upgrading to a new furnace can cut your heating bills significantly while providing more consistent comfort. Our team conducts a detailed load calculation to determine the right size unit for your space. Too small, and it will struggle to keep up. Too large, and it will short-cycle, wasting energy and wearing out faster. We get it right every time.

Installation includes careful removal of your old unit, proper venting and gas line connections, thermostat setup, and a full system test to ensure everything works perfectly. We also take care of all safety checks, including carbon monoxide testing. Our work is clean, efficient, and backed by decades of experience. And remember: when you purchase a new furnace from us, we waive the $120 inspection fee. Stay warm all winter long with Grumpy's HVAC.

Older homes and buildings in San Jose, CA often have inefficient ductwork or outdated HVAC systems that waste energy and create hot or cold spots. Grumpy's HVAC specializes in retrofit services and ducting solutions that transform your existing system into a modern, high-performance setup. Whether you need to replace old ductwork, modify your system for a new addition, or switch to a different type of heating and cooling, we have the expertise.

Retrofitting isn't just about ducts — it can also involve updating your thermostat, adding zoning controls, or integrating new equipment with your existing setup. We approach every retrofit as a custom project, designing solutions that fit your specific building and budget. The result? Better comfort, lower utility costs, and a system that works harmoniously.
