The Chill Brothers

Choosing the right air conditioning system for your Austin home is a significant decision that impacts your comfort, energy bills, and peace of mind for years to come. At The Chill Brothers, we don't just install units; we guide you through the entire process. We start with a thorough assessment of your home's size, layout, insulation, and your family's specific cooling needs. Our experts will explain the differences between SEER ratings, system types (like central air, ductless mini-splits, or heat pumps), and help you select an energy-efficient model that fits your budget and maximizes long-term savings.

Our certified technicians handle every detail of your AC installation in Austin with precision and care. We ensure proper sizing—because a unit that's too large will short-cycle, and one that's too small will struggle—correct refrigerant charging, and seamless integration with your existing ductwork or electrical systems. We take pride in our clean, respectful workmanship, protecting your property and leaving the job site spotless. If you're replacing an old, inefficient system, we'll also safely dispose of your old unit. With The Chill Brothers, you get a professional installation backed by our commitment to quality, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency from day one.

There's never a convenient time for your air conditioner to break down, especially during a Austin heatwave. That's why The Chill Brothers offers 24/7 emergency HVAC repair services. We understand the urgency of restoring your comfort quickly and reliably. Common issues we resolve include loss of cooling, strange noises, frozen coils, thermostat failures, drainage problems, and refrigerant leaks. Our technicians arrive fully stocked in marked trucks, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem accurately and get your system running again.

We believe in honest, transparent repairs. Before we begin any work, we'll provide a clear explanation of the issue, the necessary repair, and the exact cost—no surprises. Our team is trained to repair all major brands and models, and we use high-quality parts to ensure durability. Whether it's a simple capacitor replacement or a more complex compressor issue, we approach every repair in your Austin home with the same level of diligence and expertise. You can trust us to fix the root cause, not just apply a temporary bandage, saving you money and stress down the line.

Preventative maintenance is the single most effective way to protect your investment in home comfort. Just like a car needs regular oil changes, your HVAC system needs seasonal check-ups to run efficiently and avoid unexpected breakdowns. The Chill Brothers recommends scheduling a professional tune-up twice a year—once in the spring for your cooling system and once in the fall for your heating system. Our comprehensive 21-point inspection is designed to catch small issues before they become big, expensive problems.

During your AC maintenance visit in Austin, our certified technician will perform a meticulous checklist. This includes cleaning the condenser and evaporator coils, checking refrigerant levels and pressure, inspecting electrical connections for safety, lubricating moving parts, testing the thermostat calibration, cleaning the drain line to prevent water damage, and checking the system's overall operation. This thorough service improves energy efficiency (lowering your utility bills), extends the lifespan of your equipment, and maintains your manufacturer's warranty. For ultimate peace of mind, ask about our Chill Preventative Maintenance Plan, which offers priority scheduling, discounts, and regular tune-ups to keep your system in peak condition year-round.
